I have over 25 years experience as a dramaturg and literary manager, working both in-house in Literary departments and as a freelancer and consultant.
I am now fully freelance and am currently working on projects for Chichester Festival Theatre, Paines Plough/ Ellie Keele Productions, Trafalgar Entertainment, New Perspectives, Nottingham Playhouse as well as with individual playwrights and theatre makers including Jenni Jackson, Hannah Mulder and Jane Upton.
I have been Associate Dramaturg at LAMDA, Associate Dramaturg at the RSC, Production Dramaturg at the Globe, Senior Reader at Soho Theatre, Literary Manager at Theatre503, New Writing Associate at The Red Room and Scripts Assistant at the National Theatre.

I was the Information and Research Consultant at the Writers’ Organisation writernet working nationally with writers and those who work with them, with a particular focus on removing barriers to participation and creating resources for the development of new work with a host of partners from Graeae through to Soho Theatre.
I set up and ran the South West New Writing Network, bringing together writers and producers across the region to devise projects and policies to support the development of new work. Partners included Bristol Old Vic, Plymouth Theatre Royal, Ustinov in Bath, Cheltenham Everyman, Hall for Cornwall, Theatre South West, Exeter Northcott and Salisbury Playhouse.
I am a founder member of the Fence Network, an international network of playwrights and cultural operators, with whom I have exchanged practice in locations as far afield as Guadeloupe, Belgrade, Istanbul and Tampere.
Outside of the new writing box I have worked with artists, dancers, poets and musicians including Kaleider on Ancient Sunlight, creating a book of the oil age with children and artists in Exeter, with dance company Champloo on the film/theatre piece White Caps, visual artist Luci Gorrell Barnes on her Tragic Tale of Little Lupin for Bristol Old Vic and poets Molly Naylor and Carol Leeming on their one woman shows for Apples and Snakes.
